VINELink Coverage in Polk County
TDOC calls VINELink Tennessee's statewide notification service. County jails join through the Sheriff's Association. All 95 counties take part. Polk County custody searches work through Tennessee VINE even though the sheriff posts no arrest roster.
VINE and the jail do different jobs. The Polk County Detention Center holds the booking record. VINELink collects participating data and offers a named-person search with alerts. It is not the sheriff's official arrest report, a booking photo, or a court docket. Call the detention center at 423-338-8215 when facts conflict.
That gap makes the statewide layer useful. Polk County has no public name search to cross-check. Participation still promises no instant sync, no booking photo, and no release date, so patience helps.
Check a Polk Arrest on VINELink
Search with enough detail to avoid a same-name match. Spelling can vary, and the jail may list a person under the booking name the facility entered.
- Open VINELink and choose Tennessee.
- Select the offender search and enter the full name or offender ID when known.
- Review all possible matches instead of opening the first similar name.
- Compare the displayed identifier, custody status, location, and status date.
- If the record is correct, use “GET NOTIFIED” to begin alert registration.
- If no reliable match appears, call the Polk County Detention Center.
A no-match answer has several causes. Intake may not have synced yet, the person may be released or transferred, or the name may differ. Someone outside Tennessee county custody will not show. The county's same-day arrest fallback lists the phone and records route for a fresh event.
What Polk VINELink Results Show
Live fields depend on the record and source. Read any result as custody information at that moment rather than a complete case history.
| Possible field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | The identity attached to the custody record. |
| Offender ID | An identifier useful for separating similar names. |
| Status | Custody or other reported state at the displayed time. |
| Facility | The participating location supplying the record. |
| Status date | The effective or reported date of a change. |
| Notification option | The route to register for later updates. |
VINE is a custody tool only. It does not replace the booking record, a court filing, or a disposition. A transfer may change the facility. The criminal case can remain in Polk County regardless. The Tennessee offender-search interface shows the state selection and search workflow.

The interface searches for one person; it is not a countywide booking gallery.
Register for Polk Custody Alerts
Confirm the right person first, then choose the notification option. Tennessee offers phone, email, text, and TTY channels, and registration binds to the selected record.
- Open the correct result and choose “GET NOTIFIED.”
- Select an available phone, text, email, or TTY method.
- Enter the requested contact details accurately.
- Complete the confirmation steps shown by the live interface.
- For telephone registration, create the requested four-digit PIN when prompted.
- Save the registration details and keep the jail number for verification.
The PIN guards telephone notification settings. Keep the PIN private. Prompts on the screen can change, so follow the current display rather than an old screenshot. The TDOC victim-services page explains record details and notification options.

State materials separate alerts from court and booking-photo records.
Tennessee VINE Statewide Alerts
Tennessee launched the current victim-notification service as a statewide resource. A live operator answers at 888-868-4631. State materials describe access around the clock. With no sheriff roster of its own, Polk County benefits from this layer, though it still depends on participating data. The official TDOC announcement describes statewide search and registration.

The statewide service complements, but never replaces, direct Polk County jail confirmation. The Polk County, Tennessee sheriff publishes no mobile app. A similarly named Arkansas app has no connection here. Rely on the county's official website, Tennessee VINELink, and direct agency contact instead of a same-name app result.
VINELink Limits for Polk Arrests
Fresh booking data can lag. A person may be in transport, clearing medical screening, listed under another name form, released, or already transferred. Search again after a reasonable wait. Call the detention center when prompt confirmation matters.
VINE also does not reach every system. A sentenced Tennessee felony offender may show up in TDOC FOIL. Federal inmates belong in the Bureau of Prisons locator, and ICE keeps its own detainee locator. Polk County publishes no federal or immigration detention contract, so never infer federal custody from a county booking.
An alert is never a safety guarantee. Confirm urgent status changes with the responsible agency and follow official safety advice.
After a Polk Custody Change
An alert may signal release, transfer, or another custody event. It will not explain the legal reason in full. Call the jail for the releasable custody entry. The Polk County Clerk of Court, at 423-338-4524, holds the docket and disposition. Bond, transfer, dismissal, or a sentence may take an official record to sort out.
Save the date, time, delivery method, and record identifier from any alert. A message that seems wrong deserves a check. Never assume the person is free or still held. Verify with the listed facility. A stale notification, old article, or third-party photo cannot establish present custody.
